1931- Present

Picture
The Amerigo Vespucci is the training ship for the Italian Navy.

She was launched in 1931 in Naples Italy, and is one of the largest sailing ships in service today.

She is named for the Florentine cartographer who drew the first maps of the new continent discovered by Columbus.

NOTE:  This ship is in the collection of the Midland County Public  Library
